Why I'm a part of Ubunye: South Africa is a special place for me. I was born in Cape Town and moved to the United States as a child. Upon my many visits back to see family, I benefited from all the country has to offer: spectacular scenery, amazing food and warm people. However, during these trips, I also witnessed its many challenges, including wide-spread poverty and a lack of opportunity for so many, caused by decades of discrimination. Educating the next generation will be one of the most important mechanism to facilitate positive change. I am proud to support Ubunye's efforts to raise awareness and funds through inspiring and unimaginable fitness challenges. The impact of these efforts will directly support education projects that improve the lives of South African youth.
